Fostering deeper understanding and appreciation of their Media and Information Literacy (MIL) course, Xavier Ateneo Development Communication Department has opened its doors to XU Senior High Students taking up MIL this semester on February 18-19, 2019.

Close to 360 students (9 sections) came to visit the lab facilities in the department for the 2-day event.

The students were treated to a short presentation spearheaded by DevCom Soc, the co-curricular organization of the department.

Aside from getting a hands-on experience on TV production and radio recording, the students also got a glimpse of the photos taken by DevCom students over the years for their Photography for Development class.

Ms Rechelle Annn T Barraquias, DevCom chairperson, during her opening message said that, “this tour in our facility is not only a venue to promote the (DevCom) program of the university, but also for (students) to show more interest and enthusiasm with (their) MIL classes.
