Students of Xavier Ateneo DevCom bagged two of the three major awards on Saturday’s (Aug 10) #Kabataang Ginto: YSEALI Trivia Night at the Librewry Café.

Forming teams representing their flagship campaigns, Peacekwela, The #SML Project and DevCom Soc (the co-curricular organization of the department), the students took part in the event celebrating the International Youth Day. A total of 13 organizations participated with one coming as far as Iligan City.

Bagging the 1^st and 3^rd places, respectively, the winners of the trivia night received a cash prize and exclusive mentorship from YSEALI alumni.

“It was a wonderful surprise. None of us had expected to win so it was overwhelming to have two of our teams in the top 3. It was such an honor to be among such passionate people with amazing social projects; that, in itself was already a prize,” said Nichole Talatala, one of the representatives of the winning team.

The event was not only composed of a trivia night, but blitz talks as well from YSEALI alumni such as Tat Gualberto, co-founder of Ridge to Reef and Adam Anay a member of I am Mindanao who have succeeded in their projects and shared their stories.
