The DevCom week concludes with a night of blast with the annual DC Night held last Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020. Freshmen and sophomore DevCom students gathered at the CDO Hotel Xentro where the night of bloom flourished like the many flowers that students represented in their outfits. Alumni and other special guests were also present at the event, making the night more memorable than ever. This year’s DC Night had the theme of “Bloom” – a metaphor on how development communicators blossom and flutter wherever they are.

“The event served as a conclusion for the DevCom Week.” Says Jaymilyn Geronimo, a 2nd Year BS-DevCom student, when asked what was the DC night for her. “With all the stress that we went through, it was really amazing how such an event would eventually make us forget everything, and made us enjoy the company of each other.”
When asked about whether she enjoyed the event, Dinah Rondina, this year’s Ms. FASMIN representative answered: “Yes I did enjoy it.” Dinah shares. “Because it feels like an escape of my academic stress – I also love seeing my friends in their best attire.”

The annual DC night has been going on for more than 20 years and still, it never fails to give the students, faculties, and guests of the DevCom department a night of fun, excitement and most of all, a chance to form a closer bond. Like this year’s DC Night theme, friendships and relationships bloomed and blossomed in a beautiful night of revelry – a perfect conclusion to all the festivities of DevCom Week.
