Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines – John Esteward Carcosia, a student from Xavier University’s Development Communication (DevCom) Department, has been recognized as the Outstanding Graduate of the College of Agriculture. Carcosia’s impressive academic journey, coupled with their impending graduation as Summa Cum Laude, has propelled them to this momentous achievement.

Selected from a pool of 40 candidates contending for Latin Honors, Carcosia’s outstanding performance, reflected in their overall Quality Point Index (QPI) of 3.900, secured them a place as a Summa Cum Laude candidate alongside two other exceptional students. Additionally, as the Outstanding Graduate of the College, Carcosia represented the institution in the race for the batch’s valedictorian.

The 84th commencement exercises, where Carcosia will be honored, are scheduled to take place on June 7, 2023. It is an occasion eagerly awaited by the university and marks the culmination of Carcosia’s remarkable academic journey.
