Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines – Rechelle Ann T. Barraquias, the current chairperson of the Development Communication (DevCom) Department at Xavier University, has been re-appointed for the upcoming school year 2023-2024. The official announcement was made in a memo shared with the Xavier Community on June 26 by Fr. Mars P. Tan, SJ, the university president.

Having served as chairperson since 2019, Barraquias has demonstrated strong leadership and dedication to the department’s mission of fostering transformative engagements. Currently pursuing her PhD in Development Communication at the University of the Philippines Los Baños, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role.
